NBCF History: Educating and Supporting Women

Janelle Hail, a breast cancer survivor, founded NBCF in 1991 as a way to help women like her who lacked information about early detection and treatment. Getting a cancer diagnosis can be a lonely road, which is why foundations like NBCF that support and help cancer patients through the process are vital. Awareness and education programs reach a wider audience and help women access mammograms, diagnostic services, and more.

Programs like those provided by NBCF impact the world and go a long way in early detection. The organization has trained over 4,000 volunteers to help deliver lifesaving services to detect breast cancer at its earliest stages, making a significant impact on treatment options for women.
